This 11.3 km connector road is a major thoroughfare linking seven towns with the City of Tulkarm. In addition, it is considered a vital artery contributing to facilitate movement of people and goods between Qalqilia, Ramallah, Nablus and Tulkarm. The scope required major reconstruction to include underground utilities relocation and adjustment as well as retaining walls. Protection of the natural habitat along the road (especially olive trees) minimizing dust generation and continually spraying/washing vegetation was standard practice.
