The new 35th Judicial Court Building is a three-story structure with drive-in basement level. A steel frame with brick veneer exterior walls, the new facility contains 44,800 sq. ft. total. It contains a total of four Courtrooms, one Magistrate Hearing room, and related functions including a security garage and assigned prisoner transfer elevator.
Serving the five communities of Canton Township, Northville, Northville Township, Plymouth and Plymouth Township, the new Court building replaces the old Court building destroyed by fire during a severe thunderstorm in the summer of 1998. Located on Plymouth Road, just west of Haggerty Road, the new building is built on top of the old court building footprint.
